Woo hoo, Proteus are 26 years young!
It’s true, Proteus Creative Communications is 26 years old this week. We are having a very proud moment as we are still going strong with Keith and Chris Cottrell at the helm! In fact, Proteus won the UWE Best New Business award in 1990, our first year of business.
And whilst we are always looking forward, currently celebrating wins with Virgin Money, Foresters Friendly Society, Good Energy and Chase De Vere, who have joined the ranks of some our more long-standing clients; Lloyds Banking Group and GWR – we’d like to take a moment to look back at the last 26 years.
We asked Keith to summarise his secrets of running a creative agency for 26 years. Here’s his top answers!

1991 The World Wide Web launched.
1997 Microsoft Outlook was launched.
1998 Apple Mac introduced the revived iMac.
2003 WordPress open source online publishing platform launched.
2004 Facebook social network launched.
2007 First iPhone is released.
2015 Virtual Reality headset Oculus Rift was launched.
