We are proud to have collaborated with Great Western Railway, for many years. The British rail industry is unique and our knowledge of how it works, our understanding of those who work within it, is how we deliver a wide range of effective strategies, initiatives and communication solutions.

We manage and produce two major publications for GWR, one customer facing, the other a monthly employee newsletter distributed to over 6000 colleagues home addresses. To promote greater engagement with key business messages, and ensure that every colleague receives the latest issue we distribute a printed version as well as creating a digital e-book for them to read on-the-go.

GWR attend a number of key County Shows across the South West. We deliver these events, including concepts, sponsorship, event management, promotion and PR, and on-site management for the duration of the shows. The shows are a great vehicle for the public to gain unprecedented access to GWR staff, including Station Masters who regularly man the stands. Data is collected for marketing purposes and the event ROI is calculated on cost per lead.

This edition of Westernlines was awarded Gold for “Best Publication”at the CIPR Awards with a 93% readership rate up 3% on previous editions. This was it’s second award having also taken Gold for best publication in previous years.

“This special edition of the Great Western Railways staff magazine set new standards in design, infographics and production, reporting clearly to its 6,200 staff on changing ways of working and improving customer experience, using the Famous Five “our greatest journey” theme. The publication involved staff across the rail company in its research and content, with the result of most staff reading the special edition and seeing its contents as relevant. Even pride in working for GWR went up 3% following the staff survey after publication!”

We manage and produce two major publications for GWR, one customer facing, the other a monthly employee newsletter distributed to over 6000 colleagues. To promote greater engagement with key business messages, and ensure that every colleague receives the latest issue we distribute a printed version as well as creating a digital e-book for them to read on-the-go.

We have worked with Great Western Railway for many years and over that time we delivered a wide range of strategies, initiatives and campaigns. Projects involved content strategy, design, proofing, print production and distribution. The British rail industry is unique and our knowledge of how it works and the passion and loyalty of those who work within it was essential in understanding how to get the most out of their communications.

Strengthening the connection between a brand, their colleagues and their customers.

We managed both a customer facing publication and a monthly employee newsletter distributed to over 6000 colleagues. Our special anniversary edition won Best Publication at the CIPR Pride Awards 2018.

We learned that printed channels were preferred over digital channels as they guaranteed every colleague received a copy to read in their own time, leading to a greater engagement with key business messages.
