The challenge

Our team has worked with Great Western Railway, previously First Great Western, for many years, and over that time we have delivered a wide range of strategies, initiatives and campaigns. The British rail industry is unique and our knowledge of how it works, and the passion and loyalty of those who work within it, is essential to understanding how to approach campaigns.



We manage two major publications for GWR, one customer facing, the other a monthly employee newsletter distributed to over 6000 colleagues. Our work involves content strategy, design, proofing, print production and distribution. Printed channels are preferred over digital channels as they guarantee every colleague receives a copy to read in their own time, leading to a greater engagement with key business messages.



GWR attend a number of key County Shows across the South West. We deliver these events, including concepts, sponsorship, event management, promotion and PR, and on-site management for the duration of the shows. The shows are a great vehicle for the public to gain unprecedented access to GWR staff, including Station Masters who regularly man the stands. Data is collected for marketing purposes and the event ROI is calculated on cost per lead.
