With news of an imminent separation from parent company, BGL Group, owners of Comparethemarket.com, Yorkshire based Minster Law required a quick solution to providing its 650 staff across three sites, with a communications platform to instil confidence, as part of a wider engagement plan for the newly independent company.
Project planning involved a review of the immediate requirements but with a wider emphasis on the longer term plans. Phase one requirements included an integrated colleague directory, agile search facility, push notifications and tracking, social feeds, content repositories and electronic forms. However the platform also needed to be future proof for further developments: employee surveys, easy bolt on of multiple sub-sites and integration with other current systems used for HR administration, competency and performance management. Working in partnership with leading intranet platform provider, Interact, we delivered all of this and more.
Employees were engaged early on in the project through a competition to name the new platform. The Orchard was the winning name and we developed the branding for the site to work alongside Minster Law’s external brand, creating a unique, employee driven identity.
